Belur is located in the district of Hassan. UNESCO has declared Belur as one of the heritage sites. All temples and monuments here, are in the Hoysala style of architecture. Some parts of the temple are unfinished and even broken because of the Mughal attack. This was the capital of Hoysalas in the 11th century. Vishnu temple which is called Chennakeshava temple is a must-visit place. The distance between Rain tree stay and Belur is 47 km.
